Our lives are made up of personal experiences. Those experiences contribute to our individual story narratives. While some have life stories that seem mostly positive, others are stuck defining themselves through the painful events they’ve experienced in the past. Narrative therapy can help those who’ve developed a negative sense of self to identify their strengths, rewrite their story, and approach life with greater confidence.


When challenging experiences impact our lives they can lead to negative thought and behavior patterns that are sometimes rooted in fear, shame, and feelings of vulnerability. I help clients become aware of how their current challenge is a story among the many stories of their lives. We work to develop strategies that will help clients address their current problems and develop skills that can be used to change patterns that have not been serving them.

As a counsellor, one of my greatest assets is in connecting with clients and creating meaningful therapeutic relationships. My positive and supportive energy helps to establish a safe, non-judgmental, and collaborative environment in which to work with clients.

After taking the time to understand your dilemma and what is important to you, we can develop a counselling session catered to your specific needs.

Together we discuss the problem and identify skills and techniques a client can exercise in addressing their problem. Practice and process take time and it's important that clients are patient with themselves as they work through challenges, seeing the the stories of their lives in a way that invites positive opportunity, redemption, and inspiration. Growth and development comes from seeing how, in the face of challenge, we are able to grow in wisdom, depth, and compassion.  

Self-expression through creative practice offers individuals struggling with depression, life challenges, grief and trauma, a tool for exploring their emotions. As a counsellor with an strong foundation in expressive writing therapy, I guide clients toward a place of self-reflection, self-awareness, and strength through the practice of personal writing.
